Tulsa - Police say they're seeing more home invasions in Tulsa and they've become more violent. The latest happened Monday morning in the 200 block of South Sandusky where a man was shot in the chin.
The one thing home invasions have in common are they are all unique. The suspects pick a specific home for a reason -- valuables, money or drugs. And, they've been happening all over Tulsa.
Police say this morning's home invasion caught the homeowner by surprise.
"We believe that there was some type of knock at the back door," says Officer Matt Rose. "The victim went to check and see who it was, there was some kind of altercation and that's when it was brought somewhere inside the house."
Police don't know who the suspects are or what they wanted. Nothing was taken from the home. They say that is unusual.
Last week, three juveniles barged into a home and shot the homeowner, stealing his safe, jewelry and his van. Also last week, a mom and her three children were held at gunpoint while a suspect got away with their big screen television.
In each case, another common factor -- fear.
Out of nine home invasion reports in the last 30 days, police have arrested at least three suspects. They're hoping anyone with information on any other cases will call CrimeStoppers with their information.
