Tulsa - It's official. The BOK Center's one-year anniversary will be celebrated with a concert by former Beatles star Paul McCartney.
A press conference was held this afternoon to make the major concert announcement. But, it may have been one of the worst kept secrets out there. It was already all over the Internet that the former Beatles and solo star will play Tulsa's new arena on August 17th.
McCartney is best known for his work with the Beatles in the 60s and 70s, but has also had a very successful career with the band Wings and as a solo artist. He also had a pair of hit songs with the late Michael Jackson -- "Say Say Say" and "The Girl Is Mine."
McCartney has been touring North America and is currently playing Halifax, Nova Scotia this week. Next week, he's set to play the first concert at Citi Field in New York with three sold out shows.
Tickets for the concert will go on sale July 20th at 10 a.m.
