Tulsa - A former police chief has turned himself in to face possible charges after he confessed to molesting a relative for eight years.
Timothy Lee Boyer walked into the Tulsa County Sheriff's Office on Monday. He confessed to molesting the girl, now 16 years of age, more than 100 times during the course of eight years.
The girl has since confirmed Boyer's claims.
Earlier this year, Boyer served for about three months as police chief chief in the small Osage County town of Wynona, about 40 miles northwest of Tulsa.
Boyer is being held in the Tulsa County Jail on complaints of rape by instrumentation and lewd molestation of a minor. Bond was set at 200-thousand dollars.
