Chester - Fire crews from at least a half-dozen counties worked in triple-digit heat to control a grass fire in northwest Oklahoma.
Woodward County Emergency Management Director Matt Lehenbauer said Friday the blaze was located about four miles north and two miles east of Chester in Major County.
There were no reports of injuries or evacuations.
Lehenbauer wasn't sure how the blaze began or how large it was, but smoke from the fire blew as far east as Enid in neighboring Garfield County.
Lehenbauer says it's the largest fire in northwest Oklahoma since February.
