A 30-year-old Kansan has died in a fiery collision in Blaine County.

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol says Billy Ray Lewis II of El Dorado, Kansas, was killed in yesterday's collision on Oklahoma Highway 8, six miles north of Watonga.

Troopers say the collision occurred about 1:40 p.m. when a northbound vehicle veered out of control and crossed the center line, striking the victim's southbound truck tractor.

The truck left the roadway and overturned, traveled through a fence and coming to rest on its wheels in a ditch. It then caught on fire and burned.

The patrol says Lewis was pinned in the wreckage of his vehicle for about two hours and was pronounced dead at the scene.
