Oklahoma State opens its 107th season of collegiate football on Saturday when the Cowboys travel to Seattle to face the Washington State Cougars.
OSU opens its new campaign looking to make a third straight bowl appearance. The three-peat has happened just twice before in OSU's history, with one of those runs coming earlier this decade under former head coach Les Miles.
The Cowboys are also looking for a program-first sixth bowl appearance in seven seasons. OSU has never won a bowl game in three consecutive seasons, but that feat could also be on the agenda thanks to wins in the Independence Bowl in 2006 and the Insight Bowl 2007 the past two seasons.
OSU will also be trying to reach a sixth bowl game this decade. Only in the 1980s did OSU make six post-season games in the same decade.
