University of Oklahoma starting forward Blake Griffin has been ticketed by Norman police for outraging public decency.
Police officer Barry Grippen wrote the citation saying he saw Griffin urinating on bushes in a parking lot near the northwestern edge of the OU campus shortly before 1 Thursday morning.
The report says Griffin told the officer he was waiting for a friend and couldn't leave the area to find a bathroom.
The citation says the 19-year-old Griffin was initially uncooperative but then began cooperating and was released.
Griffin led OU with 14.7 points and 9.1 rebounds per game last season and was projected as a high first-round pick in the NBA draft before deciding to return to OU for his sophomore season.
