Suspended Oklahoma guard Jenna Plumley is leaving the Sooners' squad and has enrolled at Lamar University in Beaumont, Texas.
Lamar coach Larry Tidwell says he could not pass up a chance to bring in a player from a nationally ranked program.
The 5-foot-4 guard from Red Rock was suspended by OU coach Sherri Coale for the upcoming season for allegedly shoplifting cosmetic items worth $34.65 from a Norman Wal-Mart on July 14.
Plumley has two seasons of eligibility remaining, but will have to sit out the upcoming season as a transfer under NCAA rules.
Plumley started all 31 games for the Sooners last season and averaged 7.8 points per game.
She scored 18 points in her final game with OU, a 79-75 overtime loss to Notre Dame in the second round of the NCAA Tournament.
