Excuse me...., but the old TV's would have been sitting on the floor where they belong, not UP ON THE WALL or SITTING ON THE DRESSOR. MY heart and thoughts go out to the family here...

This is horrible. And I say to KTUL that whomever wrote this story should be fired. And the editor should be as well. I cannot believe that the lead in for this story was "The age of high definition t-v has brought a new danger into our homes. Wednesday, that danger took the life of a 1-year old child." This is the most thoughtless piece of writing I have ever read! This is nothing more than a piece of trashy sensational reporting. High Def TV had nothing to do with this tragic accident!!! The old tube TV's weighed MUCH more than the newer TV's! An old style VCR weighs more than today's big screen TV's!!! This was nothing more than an attempt to grab headlines and attention. Shame on you KTUL and your editors. I refuse to call this "journalism" because it is crap. I am astounded that the lead in line was so heartless! And what's more, it was so ridiculously inaccurate it was obvious the writer was just trying to grab a headline. What a bunch of heartless, opportunistic freaks. You've lost me. I'm a Tulsa citizen for 30+ years and I've always been a fan of KTUL. But this was over the line. I'm tuning in elsewhere...although they're not likely to be much better.
