An employee of an Adair County welding shop was found dead, and another employee has been taken into custody.

The Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation says the body of 39-year-old Mark Allen Fuson was discovered Wednesday. Co-worker Charlie Eli Smith has been arrested, and OSBI spokeswoman Jessica Brown says murder charges are pending.

Adair County Sheriff Gerald Coleman says the shop's owner called police after he entered the business and found Fuson face down on the floor in a living area inside the shop.

Coleman says investigators found blood on the walls and discovered a bloody hammer. He says Smith was arrested a short time later at a Stilwell motel.
