Tulsa Names Women's Basketball Assistant Coach

The University of Tulsa has named Sharon Allen as an assistant coach of its women's basketball team.
Head coach Charlene Thomas-Swinson announced the hiring yesterday, saying Allen will work with guards and post players.
A native of Culpeper, Virginia, Allen was the head coach of the Culpeper High School girls basketball team from 2004 to 2007.
Before that, she was head women's basketball coach at Tennessee State University and an assistant at Mississippi State.
Allen also was head coach at Saint Louis University, and an assistant at Kansas State, Drake and George Washington.
