Congressman John Sullivan was in Tulsa Sunday to announce the opening of a Tulsa office to crackdown on illegal immigration.
Sullivan says the office will only go after fugitives.
You may remember Operation Community Shield that partnered with federal, state and local authorities to target members of violent street gamgs. Sullivan says the Immigration and Customs Enforcement presence will make the community safer.
"It's going to focus on criminal illegal aliens, drug traffickers, sex offenders, felony outstanding warrants," Sullivan says. "It's going to go after the criminal element."
Sullivan says he expects the office to be open next month.
