State investigators are continuing to search for a longtime Duncan attorney who has been missing since Thursday.
Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation spokesman Jessica Brown says agents fear Charles Barnes has either harmed himself or is on the run.
The 57-year-old attorney was charged Sept. 8 with embezzling $148,000 from the trust fund of a client's dead aunt. He posted bail the next day.
Since his arrest, Stephens County District Attorney Bret Burns says other alleged victims have contacted his office with claims they too have been swindled by Barnes.
Investigators hoped to question Barnes about those allegations when they discovered him missing from his Lake Texoma home.
