Tulsa - An Oklahoma State official tells NewsChannel 8 that Internet rumors circulating about the status of Oklahoma State senior quarterback Zac Robinson are false.
According to a high-level source in the Oklahoma State University athletic department, the online reports are quote "just internet rumors, horrible internet rumors."
The report by Rotowire.com said a source had told them an undisclosed injury, possibly the same hamstring injury that kept Robinson out of practices last month, may keep him out of Saturday's opener against Georgia.
One thing we do know is that starting tight end Jamal Mosley is gone. He left the team Tuesday for what head coach Mike Gundy called "personal reasons".
Several sports betting websites removed the Oklahoma State/Georgia game from their lines Wednesday afternoon. It's unclear if that has anything to do with the rumors.
