I am a former employee of FOX and I know that the DRP's did not cause FOX to go out of business. It is more to do with the way money was spent. such as spending more than $30,000 on a Christmas party for all of the INSURANCE agents that he is now downing so much and the sponsoring of a race car in NASCAR. His company's problems where not the DRP's it was his loose spending habits. I totally agree about the Carma it is coming around and you can't get away from it. Todd Fox needs to look back and see the way his employees and customers have been treated all these years. You can't do something like this and expect to come out smelling like a rose.

Many in this industry recieve a monthly magazine "Fender Bender". If the public could just read the article from August 2007 I think they might understand just how much "GREED" played a role in this melt down that put near 50 local people with out jobs. If only the media could get thier hads on a copy of that article "Power Branding with Todd Fox" or the magazine would revisit his story, some might get an idea of the distance that man would go for the almighty dollar...

Oh come on people! If the DRP's are so bad, then why aren't all the body shops around the country going belly up? Let's face it, the FOX team were not handling the money in a proper way...they had way more employees than they needed, who were not directly involved with the body shop. Take the COMMAND CENTER for instance, how many people making what kind of money? And what were they contributing? Micro Management that is what. Hummm that would be, oh i don't know maybe $10,000 a month in extra salary going to people who made phone calls? Most body shops handle their on intial contacts to the customers to schedule estimates and repairs.

As for the quality of repairs, I know for a fact that the vehicles that left our shop were high quality, top notch, safe and clean condition. We took pride in our shop, no matter who's name was on it.

As for FixedOn66's comment that Fox cared for his employees, tell me this...why didn't he give us a heads up so we didn't have to scurry around like mice trying to get vehicles handled and our personal items out? Why didn't he tell us that due to whatever reason the doors would be closing in say a couple of weeks and allow us to start hunting for jobs? Why when we went to the unemployment office to sign up did we find that he had not paid into the states unemployment compensation program? BIG surprise! He didn't pay anything else, why should he pay that?

There are vendors all over the 3 states who have huge outstanding balances that will probably never see a dime...some of these are small mom and pop companies. I hope the Government is involved...at least they will have a chance at recovering some of their loss.

Let Todd Fox blame who he will...his "past" employees know the truth about him. And what goes around ...comes back around! Thanks for nothing!

As a collision repair shop owner I hope I can add some insight here.

I agree with Listen Up that the problems with insurance ARE real. (I did go on well over 2000 characters about that but had to delete it. )

However they are not real enough to put a shop out of business unless you let it do so. Fox could have expanded to fast, slipped on quality control, or done any of the other mistakes bankrupt companies have made. I?ll just say that Fox can't blame the whole thing on insurance or else every shop in town would be out of business. Regarding your cars; I've heard that Farmers took many of their insureds cars out of Fox on Saturday and took them to other DRP shops. I've also heard that as of this morning State Farm vehicles were still at Fox facilities but SF is doing everything to get them out. I drove to the 61st, 51st and 41st locations and it seemed the 41st & Sheridan location was the only location with any life. It looked like many of the vehicles were in that lot and I saw people in the office at the time I was there. If you are desperate and haven't received any information you might start there.

I will say that this has happened before in California with a similar large chain and Fox seems to be handling it much better. In CA they just locked the gates and didn't even tell their employees. Their tools were locked up for a week so they couldn't even work anywhere else. Most of the Fox technicians were told to come for their tools on Saturday morning. Because they thought enough of their employees I believe they will try to get cars out as quickly as possible.

Remember that if you insurance company encouraged you to go to Fox they would do well to keep you in your rental car at their cost until this all gets settled. It WILL take time to get your car out, into production at another shop and completed. For some it will be like starting from scratch.

Good luck and best wishes to you all. You WILL be taken care of in time.

The first time I heard of Fox Collision was at a Union Football game when we had a small Fox Collision football thrown to us from the field. Since then I have had 2 experiences with Fox Collision, the first time was for hail damage and when I got the vehicle back it looked as good as new, it was clean inside and out and have had no other issues since then. The second time was a week ago when my car was involved in a collision. On Friday we called Fox Collision at 4:PM to find out its status and was told it was not ready yet, Saturday morning I received a call from Farmers Insurance and was told we needed to pick up the vehicle ASAP, from what I can tell at this time the workmanship is what I expected (well done), It is not yet complete, but then I was told it was not ready. The customer experience I received at Fox Collision was nothing but the finest and I have nothing but good things to say. I am disappointed that they are now out of business and the Tulsa area will have a void that will be hard to fill.

I have been in the Insurance business for 7+ years. So to put blame on the insurance companies is just ridiculous. Fox Collision has shut down and closed all shops due to tax reasons. Mr. Fox just wants to put the blame elsewhere and can't tell the real reason of the closings. Mr. Fox is a liar and treated his employers porribly. So if anyone wants to belive that the insurance is the reason for the closings needs to open their eyes. If he is not making money, then why doesn't he just close a few and not all of them. He has to close all of them because the Fed's are due to tax reasons. FRAUD!!!

I have been battling FOX for nearly 3 months. I drove my car to the Fox location in the Bricktown area of Oklahoma City. It took them 73 days to repair my car. And even then, I had to take it to a Toyota dealership to fix a few things they messed up. I also got an estimate to repair the remaining problems that Fox's crack team of workers caused. The estimate was for $3,850.92. This is after my insurance company paid the nearly $9,000 to fix it the first time. My insurance even paid to have the driver-side frame rail to be replaced. Instead of replacing it like they charged the insurance company, Fox cut out the bent section and welded in a new section. Another issue I have with Fox is that they had promised to pay for my rental car until my car was finished. My car was finished the afternoon of October 4, 2007. Fox told the rental car company that my car was ready on September 14, 2007 and that I should have returned the car then. So I got stuck with $553.70 in charges that Fox was supposed to cover. Can you say fraud? My insurance company has agreed to pay for the additional repairs needed. In that regard I am lucky. As for Mr. Fox's claims that it is the Insurance companies' fault, I would have to say LIAR!!!!!!!!!

Regarding the situation FOX is having to deal with, regarding insurance companies wanting pay less, and to get by with as little as possible, this is true.

Medical Health insurance companies are doing the same thing. In speaking to staff at a Tulsa area hospital, insurance companies are doing things that "push" patients out of the hospital sooner, THEN if they may need home assistance, they often will pay for it.

Think about it.... IF you were an open heart surgery patient, and sent home in three days....in lieu of the previous policy of 4-5 days, and you had heart problems at home, would you want to wait possibly 20-30 minutes for an ambulance to pick you up, plus the time traveled to the hospital?..and wait in ER, or stay right there in the hospital where the staff AND equipment is RIGHT THERE???

Auto insurance companies seem to be doing the same thing, all for the sake of the "dollar".

There is nothing wrong with running a company to be as profitable as possible, but when quality and possible repercussions of a major surgery is involved, reducing those benefits under those circumstances is wrong!

I have a car caught in the Fox Collision Farmers Insurance mess. I have recieved some very conflicting and disturbing information regarding the status of repair as well as the physical whereabouts of my car.
