Midwest City - Police in Midwest City say a 3-year-old boy apparently shot himself to death with a gun he found in his grandmother's house.

Police Chief Brandon Clabes says Ethan Tucker was shot in the head about 3:30 this morning and died at a local hospital.

Clabes says the boy was staying with his grandmother while his mother worked.

Clabes says the child's 21-year-old uncle thought the boy was asleep and put him in his bed in a room with several loaded weapons within the child's reach.

The chief says the boy apparently picked up a gun out of curiosity and accidentally shot himself.

Clabes says the case will be sent to the district attorney for possible charges.
