Tulsa - Oklahoma City's five-match Sooner Athletic Conference win streak is over.
The Stars were overpowered by Wayland Baptist 25-10, 25-14, 25-19 Friday night in Plainview, Texas.
It was the first conference loss for OCU since losing to the same team on September 26th.
Junior Xiaoting Ma had her third straight double-double, posting a team-leading 13 kills and ten digs. She also had three blocks.
Samantha Ball led the Stars with 24 assists and Shelbey Veselka had 11 digs.
With the loss, OCU dropped to 14-17 overall and 5-3 in the Sooner Athletic Conference. The win allowed Wayland Baptist to move into a tie with the Stars for second place in the SAC and gives them the tiebreaker.
Oklahoma City will next play Saturday at Lubbock Christian, which is unbeaten at 8-0 in conference play and 19-4 overall.
