Tulsa - Expect showers and thunderstorms Thursday, including some which may be severe and bring heavy downpours, but there is some good news.
Wednesday, strong, gusty winds from the south will be seen ahead of a storm system that will apporoach eastern Oklahoma from the northwest. During the day Thursday and into Thursday night, widespread showers and thunderstorms will be expected, especially in far eastern Oklahoma and northwestern Arkansas.
There will be a risk of severe weather with the storms, with the main threats being from hail and damaging winds as well as the flooding threat from heavy rainfall.
The good news? After the storms move east out of Oklahoma, it will leave behind dry, calm weather for the weekend with temperatures climbing to near 70 by Saturday.
