Tulsa - A tornado watch has been issued for much of eastern and southeastern Oklahoma.
The watch runs through 6 p.m. for the following counties: Adair, Atoka, Bryan, Cherokee, Choctaw, Coal, Haskell, Latimer, LeFlore, McCurtain, McIntosh, Muskogee, Okmulgee, Pittsburg, Pushmataha and Sequoyah.
At noon, a line of strong to severe storms was located from near Coffeyville, Kansas to Tulsa to Tishomingo. The storms were moving to the northeast at 40 miles per hour.
The thunderstorms are expected to continue to move to the east throughout the day and eventually move into western Arkansas later this afternoon.
The chance for rain may linger into early Friday before exiting the area and leaving behind drier, calmer conditions. Saturday morning's low temperatures may dip into the upper 30s, but will rebound into the 60s with mostly sunny skies. The nice weather should continue through early next week.
