Didion to Receive Honorary Book Award

Officials with the downtown Tulsa arena have announced one of the first concerts that will take place at the BOk Center, which will open next September. Officials say Celine Dion will perform at the new arena on November 13, 2008. It will be her only Oklahoma stop on her tour.

Dion will not be the first artist to perform at the arena. Officials are not announcing that yet.

Tulsa's new arena is set to open on September 1, 2008.

jasouthard, I'm glad you enjoyed her concert but one of the people I work with saw her in Vegas as well and said it was BORING. Said her voice was fine but the showmanship was really, REALLY dull. I just wish that someone would have taken the pulse of the surrounding area with different polls to find out what people WANTED to see. I'm sure there are some folks who will be happy she's here, but I really wonder if it'll sell out like they think.
