Doctor To Perform Fox Employee's Cancer Surgery Free

After a week of bad news following the sudden closure of Fox Collision, finally there is some good news. We told you the story of Steve Edkin, a former employee diagnosed with prostate cancer a week before Fox closed its doors. He needed live-saving surgery, but didn't know how he was going to pay for it. But, a good Samaritan has stepped up to the plate.
Steve was at his wits end. Fortunately, there was a man out there who knew exactly how he felt and exactly who could help Steve fight cancer -- for free.
With his insurance canceled, Steve Edkin had no idea how he was going to fight cancer.

"My life is on the line here, I don't know what to do you know. I just don't know what to do."
"I saw the hurt," says Gary Coury. "I saw the scaredness in his eyes."
Coury had prostate cancer, too, saw Steve's anguish, and was moved to action. Enter Austin, Texas surgeon, Randy Fagin, the doc who did Gary's surgery and picked up the phone to hear his former patient say...
"A young man has prostate cancer, he's lost his job, ain't got no money, don't have no insurance, I want you to give him a free operation. He says no problem."
"It's a privilege to be able to do this man's operation and help him out and I don't mind doing it for nothing," Fagin says.
"Thank god that there's people in the world like this with compassion and understanding," says Steve -- the scaredness now gone from his eyes. And, even though there's another bounced paycheck on the coffee table, his new friends are outfoxing Fox.
"It's a good example of good triumphing over evil if that's how you want to put it, I don't know how else to put it."
Gary Coury and Dr. Fagin have set up a foundation to help people just like Steve get the life-saving surgery they need in times of financial crisis. You can find more information about it at
