Fox Employees Plan Class-Action Lawsuit Against Owner
   posted 6:52 am Fri November 09, 2007 - Tulsa
There is more trouble for Fox Collision. A group of workers cheated out of pay and benefits is now hiring a lawyer.
Laid off Fox employees like Jennifer Baker came to the meeting, looking for information after two agonizing weeks.

"It's been stressful," she says. "I've been absolutely terrified actually because we haven't gotten our last paychecks either and I really rely on that for my bills."

NewsChannel 8 myTAKE - What's Your Opinion?Baker is one of hundreds of employees out in the cold after Fox Collision shut down. All, like Dustin Jefferies, were left jobless and left holding the bag.

"The money that he owes us is just... I found out today I had another bounced check," Jefferies says. "So, that's two for me and one he never paid me, so I'm out myself four-thousand dollars and I'm one of the smaller guys."

Thursday night, former Fox employees banded together to hire a lawyer. There could be a class-action lawsuit filed. But, there is one big problem. They can't seem to find the defendant, owner Todd Fox.

"Obviously, there's going to be a lot of searching done for Mr. Fox," says Attorney Charles Vaught. "Not only by these employees, but also by banks and check cashers and things of that nature."

But, with the owner in hiding, what can they collect, and is there any money left?

"We don't know that yet," Vaught says.

What they do know is that the fight to find and sue Todd Fox continues. His former workers are frustrated, angry and confused.

"It's turned us upside down."

NewsChannel 8 has been doing everything we can to track down owner Todd Fox. We have tried countless phone calls, faxes and e-mails and we've also used newsgathering resources from here to Kansas and Colorado. We plan to stay with it.

I found an article this evening on Todd. M&I Bank has file a lawsuit here in Tulsa today against Todd, Jody, Fox Collision, and Fox Realty for unpaid loans. The lawsuit totals 7.2 million dollars, tack that onto his list of monies owed, to us employees, vendors, and creditors.
