Up Close And Personal With A Lightning Bolt

Tulsa - NewsChannel 8 storm chaser Mike Scantlin got a little closer to Mother Nature than he'd like earlier this week.
Scantlin was in Texas Monday when a bolt from above came dangerously close, sending him running for the hills.
Scantlin has shot some terrific videos of tornadoes and hail, but likely never has come this close to the object of his affection.
If his name sounds familiar, it should. In May, we told you about his heroic efforts to help a van full of students from Messenger College in Joplin after they encountered a tornado.
