Jay - Animal cruelty charges have been filed against a Delaware County man and woman who authorities say were running a puppy mill and not feeding the dogs.

Prosecutors charged 55-year-old Randall Dick and 52-year-old Sue Davis with 12 counts of cruelty to animals.

Authorities say they found over 100 cocker spaniels and miniature poodles and nine dead dogs in rural Delaware County near the Arkansas state line on Nov. 2.

Dick and Davis told authorities the animals were last fed on Oct. 25.

The dogs were sent to an animal shelter in Denver while Dick and Davis remain in jail on $20,000 bond each.
