Tulsa - Authorities find as many as 8 pipe bombs and remnants of a meth lab in north Tulsa.
The sheriff's department received an anonymous tip that they might find something suspicious near 5900 N. Lewis Ave.
The bomb squad was brought in to investigate as well. Around 6 o'clock, authorities said they found 2 bombs near a home. By 9 o'clock, that number had grown to seven, with an 8th found shortly later. A water cannon on the squad's special robot was fired at the devices in an attempt to disarm them.
Renters who live on the property where the devices were found were just as surprised to see the bomb squad as neighbors. They think it might be the work of a disgruntled ex-spouse.
Remnants of a shake and bake style meth lab were also found near the bombs.
Cpt. Bass said that surrounding homes were evacuated and that Lewis Ave. was closed in the vicinity. The sheriff's office is waiting until their investigation is complete before releasing more details.
