Oklahoma City - A 20-year-old Edmond man has been charged with first-degree murder in the stabbing death of a well-known homeless man known as "Bicycle Bob."
Oklahoma County prosecutors on Wednesday charged Travis Monroe Jim in the Oct. 17 killing of 54-year-old Dwight Morgan, who was often seen riding a bicycle in the Oklahoma City suburb.
According to a police affidavit, Jim admitted to authorities he had been drinking and swung a knife at Morgan after the two argued over where Jim was sleeping behind an Edmond business. He also told authorities he hit Morgan in the head with a hammer.
Jim is being held without bond in the Oklahoma County jail. Court records do not indicate if he has been assigned an attorney.
