Tulsa - Nate Guillory rushed for 243 yards and six touchdowns as Northwestern Oklahoma State pounded Texas College 71-24 Saturday in Alva.
Guillory broke the single-season rushing record, finishing the day with 1,466 yards, surpassing the mark that had been held by Patrick Crayton.
The junior from Houston scored four touchdowns in the first quarter alone. He added another in the second as the Rangers built a 35-12 halftime advantage.
His sixth score of the afternoon came in the third quarter and the Rangers also picked up a rushing touchdown from Courtney Jones and a pair of touchdowns through the air.
The Rangers (6-3 overall, 5-0 Central States Football League) racked up 522 total yards in the game, including 391 on the ground.
Guillory still has another game left to add to the single season record. The Rangers will wrap up the 2009 season when they host Panhandle State next Saturday.
