Tulsa - The Thanksgiving turkey is already being pushed aside, with millions of shoppers turning their attention to Black Friday, still ten days away.
Right now, "Black Friday" is one of the top searches on the Internet. It seems it's coming earlier this year, with a lot of deals already out there.
You can blame the economy. With the way things are right now, people are already looking for deals and retailers are more than happy to start giving them out now.
Jackie Payne and her family are wheelin' and dealin'. With shopping cart in hand, they are looking for the deals before Black Friday.
"We're just trying to hurry up before Christmas, just get them and pretty much beat the rush," she says.
Like many families, this year has been tough for Jackie's. Her husband just got laid off, but they are still trying to give their four kids Christmas gifts.
"It's not easy be going a little bit on the backseat this year."
But, the deals are out there. And, not just on Black Friday.
"We have a deal of the day every day as it counts down to Christmas," says K-Mart Store Manager Dale Pitts.
Also, Pitts says they're having what's called "Better Than Black Friday" deals.
"You've got to look at the economy," he says. "People are shopping for deals. They're not just wanting to go out and spend that money. They're wanting to get the best deal for their money."
And, retailers like K-Mart are hoping it pays off. It's all part of the push to get consumers spending in the struggling economy.
"Every retailer is going to be stepping up and giving those better deals," says Pitts. "Because they want to bring business into their stores."
Another reason you may not want to wait until Black Friday is inventory. Many stores sell out of hot items that day. Of course, there is always "Cyber Monday". Big sales are expected online, too.
