Accident On Riverside Kills One

Just after 7 o'clock, police received calls of a white pickup truck traveling very fast northbound near 41st St. It crashed into a pole around the 3600 block, knocking down live power lines.
The impact force was great enough to shear the pole off at the ground. The driver was ejected, and he died at the scene.
Riverside Dr. was closed in the area while power crews worked to clear the fallen lines. At this time, police do not think alcohol played a role in the accident.
The man's name will not be released until family members are notified.

This wasn't even close to being an "accident"...he was reckless..crashed...died.
