Tulsa - Thousands of people got their H1N1 vaccinations at a walk-in clinic at the Tulsa fairgrounds yesterday. NewsChannel 8's Bill Mitchell reports on some of the side effects you may experience after getting yours.
The health department says there's still a big demand for H1N1 shots here in Tulsa County. Those who have gotten the shot already say their arms are a little sore, while others complain of a stuffy nose.
"Those who get the mist may not have any side effects," says Health Department Spokesperson Melanie Christian. "Some people reported a stuffy nose for a couple of days and that's pretty common."
Right now they have enough vaccine the handle at-risk cases like pregnant women and children under ten who come to the health department to get their booster shots. The health department says the long lines this week at the fairgrounds are evidence a lot more people still want the H1N1 shots.
They are now waiting for 12-thousand more doses to be shipped in here soon. There will be another walk-in clinic Tuesday from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the fairgrounds.
