Woman Hospitalized After Head-On Crash

It happened on westbound I-44, just west of 151st East Avenue.
According to police, a woman was driving a car that got on the interstate going the wrong direction. She slammed into a truck head-on.
Emergency workers rushed her to a local hospital.
The driver of the truck was not seriously injured.
I-44 was shutdown for about 45 minutes while crews worked to clean up the accident.
Officers are working to determine why the woman was driving the wrong way in the first place.
