Tulsa - Officials have identified a man that died after being pulled from a home that caught fire Friday morning.
Fifty-five-year-old Billy Martin McCoy died Friday morning at a Tulsa hospital.
Fire officials say at about 8:30 a.m., one of the triplex's carbon monoxide detectors went off and the alarm company told all residents to evacuate. About 45 minutes later, a call came in to the Tulsa Fire Department's non-emergency number to report a smell of electrical burning in the home.
When crews arrived on scene, they found evidence of a fire that had already been put out and McCoy, who was suffering from smoke inhalation and was in cardiac arrest.
Paramedics performed CPR on McCoy at the scene and then rushed him to a Tulsa hospital.
Investigators said it appeared the fire may have been caused by smoking in bed and that there was no fire to the house itself.
