Tulsa - The Rice Owls avenged a pair of regular season losses to Tulsa, winning in the Conference USA Volleyball Championship game, three sets to one, Sunday in Houston, Texas.
Tulsa led late in every set, but the Owls (22-8) rallied to win three of the four.
Tulsa had a 19-9 lead in the second set before the Owls used a 16-4 run to end the set to go up two sets to none.
Tulsa rallied to take the third set 27-25 and led 23-22 in the fourth set, but Rice scored the final three points to end the match.
Tyler Henderson led the way for Tulsa (26-7) with 26 kills while Jennifer Eichler added 16 kills and ten digs. Jessica Adams tallied 28 digs and Rachel Vukson had 30 assists.
