Tulsa - The Oklahoma Wesleyan men's basketball team has tied the record for most consecutive wins in NAIA Division II after defeating Southwestern (KS) 97-72 Tuesday night in Bartlesville.
The defending NAIA Division II champion Eagles (9-0) haven't lost since January 20th of last season. That loss was to College of the Ozarks, the team OWU later defeated in the Division II championship game.
In Tuesday night's game, Oklahoma Wesleyan put any doubt of the game's outcome to rest early, leading 23-9 in the opening minutes.
Sadiel Rojas scored 24 points and grabbed 11 rebounds while Aron Crowley scored 15 points -- all on three-pointers and Deantre Harlan added 13 points and ten rebounds.
The Eagles dominated just about every statistical category, knocking down 17 three-pointers and out-rebounding the Moundbuilders 57-30.
The Eagles will look to break the national record when they host Hillsdale Baptist on December fourth.
