Tulsa - Six different Oilers scored goals as Tulsa bounced back from Thursday's shootout loss with a 6-2 win over Texas Friday night at the BOK Center in Tulsa.
After the Brahmas took a 1-0 lead after the first period, Tulsa scored four times in the second period. Rob Hisey scored shorthanded just 17 seconds into the period to the the score.
Two minutes later, Aaron Davis scored the game-winner off the pass from T.J. Caig. Tom Maldonado and Tyler Butler added goals later in the second period for a 4-1 advantage.
Jake Riddle and Michel Beausoleil scored in the third period to push the lead to 6-1 before Matt Burto returned Texas to the scoreboard.
The Oilers (12-3-1) outshot the Brahmas 27-24, including 12-4 in the decisive second period. Kevin Armstrong stopped 22 of 24 shots he faced for Tulsa.
The Oilers will play the Brahmas again on Sunday, this time in Richland Hills, Texas.
