Shock, Fire or Tempo? Fans To Decide

A poll at www.wnba.com/tulsa will be up through mid-December for fans to weigh in on what they want their franchise to be called. Owners and league officials considered dozens of possibilities, but narrowed the list to three.
"Each of these three are dynamic names that can be executed in a number of ways," said lead investor Bill Cameron. "The in-game promotions, the slogans, the music ? all of it will be completely unique to Tulsa's WNBA team."
Tulsa got its team when the Detroit Shock -- winners of three WNBA titles -- announced it would move the franchise to Oklahoma in October.
