Due to the ice storm, NewsChannel 8's presentation of the 2007 Ford Award has been postponed to a later date. The reschedule date has not yet been determined, but we will post that information here on KTUL.com once the date is scheduled.
Ten players are vying for the sixth annual award, given to the top player in northeastern Oklahoma.

The nominees are: McLain's Shawn Jackson, Union's Brandon Rogers, Mark Ginther of Jenks, Muskogee's Jameel Owens, Kenny Session of East Central, Jason Robison of Metro Christian, Jamel Rucker from Morris, Kellen Williams of Bishop Kelley, Tahlequah-Sequoyah's Nathan Stanley and Owasso's Brandon Webb.
More than 48-thousand online votes were cast for this year's award. They will count as one vote in determining the winner. Seven panelists have also voted for the award.
