Oklahoma's electric utilities say more than 600-thousand people are now without power in the largest power outage in state history, including more than 225-thousand in the Tulsa metro area. The latest report from Public Service Company says just over 226-thousand in the Tulsa metro area were without power Tuesday morning. That's up from 219-thousand Monday evening.

PSO's total outages have also increased from 252-thousand at 8:15 Monday evening to more than 254-thousand by 11:15 Tuesday morning. According to its website, Oklahoma Gas and Electric reports an additional 300-thousand outages statewide. That's up 80-thousand over the same time yesterday.

NewsChannel 8 myTAKE - What's Your Opinion?PSO has brought in more than two-thousand line workers to begin bringing those numbers down. But, as one line is repaired, another succumbs to the weight of the massive ice on the lines or on trees that come down, snapping the lines.

PSO projects that it may take up to ten days to restore power to all customers.

In response to ...."momwithouthubby".......

I thank GOd for your husband and the caravan that came to Tulsa to help. They are awesome!. I was sitting at an intersection the other day and had to pull over as the massive trucks one after another, after another, left the Fairgrounds to drive to whereever they were assigned to go. "momwithouthubby"....you should be proud and I hope that when he returns he has good things to say about Tulsans. We could not have done it without your husband and the others!!! I pray he gets home safely and soon to spend Christmas with those babies and his family!! Blessings!
