In response to ...."momwithouthubby".......

I thank GOd for your husband and the caravan that came to Tulsa to help. They are awesome!. I was sitting at an intersection the other day and had to pull over as the massive trucks one after another, after another, left the Fairgrounds to drive to whereever they were assigned to go. "momwithouthubby"....you should be proud and I hope that when he returns he has good things to say about Tulsans. We could not have done it without your husband and the others!!! I pray he gets home safely and soon to spend Christmas with those babies and his family!! Blessings!

We were very blessed to have only been without power for about 12 hours on Monday. We have been opening our home to friends and family who do not have heat or hot showers or warm beds. I ask those of you have power to take this opportunity to begin the holiday season in the right way...giving and sharing. What a great feeling to know that you can make a big difference in someone's life right now. As for those linemen...much thanks for the sacrifices you (and your families) are making to help so many others.

They're doing a great job!

And probably getting a nice holiday bonus in the form of overtime pay that they are receiving for all this extra work.

But its well-deserved.

I worked 37 years for a Power Company as Lineman, most power lines are designed to with stand one inch of Ice on them. But when you add Customers Trees falling on them they cannot stand the extra load. So the reason so many of you are out of Electricity is your trees. Be kind to the Lineman they are doing everything they can to get your power back on. And next time the Power Company wants to trim your trees back away from the line, Please understand they only want to help keep your power on. Thanks, an old lineman

My Hubby Left Eastern North Carolina Early this morning him and his crew have drove all day and will tomorrow too.PLease remember that all the linemen that are coming to help are going to miss alot of Christmas Activities. we personally have two small children and he is going to miss alot of christmas parties and family gatherings. He does not even know if he will be home for Christmas to See what his kids open from Santa.... So please be easy about your comments about LInemen!

I think PSO as well as all the utility companies are doing a great job, they also have families without power and want their power on as quickly as I'd like to have mine on.

jpatrick
people gripe because of no power .pso did a great job restoring power i was without for7hours.but is this the same people who did not want there tree limbs cut next time they will think about it when pso wants to cut limbs out of power lines

I think it's everyone's responsibility as a citizen to prepare for something like this. So, instead of being ungrateful and blaming the utility companies for not working fast enough, we should keep a generator and other vital supplies on hand at all times just in case.

Reasonable or not, it is the way it is. It could be colder outside and I admit it frustrating seeing places of business go up before residential communities. Of course seeing how we are all on the web right now, we must be okay at least for now. I never wanted to go to work so bad, hot coffee never tasted so good.

Well, remember folks, they have 4 hospitals without power. You have nursing homes, clinics, resturaunts, water treatments plants, all without electricity. They have 530,000 people without power besides that. They are going to restore power to important buildings like hospitals first, then the residential neighborhoods. By looking around town (Tulsa) today, I think 10 days is more than a failr enough estimate to restore power to EVERYONE. We all just have to hang in there. It's a disaster out there... literally.

PSO is bringing in 2-thousand line workers from surrounding states to help restore power.

I appreciate PSO line workers doing all they can but it appears to me we need help with more line men. by what ever means it takes. Other states, counties, etc. Come on. I'm not sure I can live without power for 10 days.
