A Collinsville man who died in his home overnight is believed to have died from carbon monoxide poisoning. It's the first fatality in the Tulsa area from the deadly gas, but isn't the only in the state. An Oklahoma City man died early this morning from CO poisoning from a generator.
In addition, more than 35 people have been treated in Tulsa due to carbon monoxide poisoning, including 13 in one home near 56th and Lewis Tuesday morning.

Seven others were taken to hospitals overnight and six others were treated.
Carbon Monoxide is a colorless, odorless gas that is the most common type of fatal poisoning. Because it is impossible to see, taste or smell the toxic fumes, the gas can kill a person before they are aware it is in their home.
Symptoms of carbon monoxide poisoning include headaches and dizziness as well as nausea and fatigue. At lower levels of exposure, carbon monoxide's mild effects are often mistaken for the flu.
You can take steps to reduce your exposure to carbon monoxide, like keeping gas appliances properly adjusted, purchasing a vented space heater instead of an unvented one, using proper fuel in kerosene space heaters, installing an exhaust fan that is vented to the outdoors over gas stoves and opening flues when fireplaces are in use.
