Oilers To Play Wichita In Preseason

Posted: Updated:

The Tulsa Oilers announced Tuesday that they will battle long-time rival Wichita in a pair of preseason games this October.

The Oilers will travel to Wichita on October eighth before hosting the Thunder a day later at the Oilers Ice Center at 64th and Mingo. The puck will drop at 7:05 p.m. for both games.

The Oilers will host their third annual Alumni Game on August 28th. Oiler players from the past will play a game and meet and greet with fans following the contest.

The game will be played at 7 p.m. at the ice center, located at 64th and Mingo. Among the alumni playing in the game are brothers Butch and Klage Kaebel, Sly Naud, Tom Karalis, Doug Lawrence and Mike Berger.

Tickets for the alumni game are ten dollars for general admission seating. Season ticket holders will be able to enter first to choose their seats.

The regular season begins October 15th at home against the Thunder. It's the first of 33 home games at the BOK Center this season.
