The Oral Roberts women's soccer team opened the regular season with a 2-0 victory over Arkansas-Little Rock Friday at the ORU Soccer Complex in Tulsa.

The game was scoreless until the 33rd minute, when Lorena Soto scored from 18 yards out off the feed from Jordan Parsons for a 1-0 advantage.

It remained 1-0 until Maria Grados scored with less than ten seconds remaining in the game. Soto assisted on the goal.

ORU had a 12-5 edge in shots on goal and a 21-10 advantage in overall shots. Amanda Wheeler stopped all five shots she faced to earn her eighth career shutout.

Oral Roberts (1-0) will play Northwestern State (LA) Sunday afternoon at 1 p.m. The Demons suffered a 4-0 setback to the University of Tulsa Friday night.
