Charles Blackmon homered to extend his hitting streak to seven games, but it wasn't enough as the Tulsa Drillers' four-game win streak was snapped by Frisco, 5-3 Saturday night at ONEOK Field in Tulsa.

Tulsa starter Keith Weiser cruised through the first two innings before giving up his first hit to John Whittleman -- a solo home run that snapped a scoreless tie.

Guilder Rodriguez followed with a single just ahead of Jose Felix, who made it 3-0 with another round tripper over the center field wall.

Weiser calmed down over the next few innings, but was tagged with another home run by Elio Sarmiento to lead off the sixth inning for a 4-0 lead.

Tulsa finally broke through for a pair of runs in the sixth on a two-out RBI single by Jordan Pacheco and a double by Radames Nazario. But, with runners at second and third, Anthony Jackson flied out to end the inning.

Blackmon cut the lead to 4-3 in the seventh with his tenth home run of the season, but it was the last hit of the game for the Drillers.

Frisco added an insurance run in the top of the ninth on a Renny Osuna infield single.

Tulsa had one final shot in the ninth when Jackson drew a leadoff walk and moved to third on back-to-back ground outs. But, Jeff Kindel lined out to third to end the game.

Jackson had three of Tulsa's nine hits. Blackmon was 2-for-4 and is now 18-of-30 (.600) during the seven-game hitting streak. He's now batting .304 this season.

Weiser took the loss to drop to 8-and-8 on the season. He allowed four runs on eight hits in six innings, striking out three and walking two.

The loss keeps Tulsa tied with Springfield, two games behind Northwest Arkansas in the Texas League North standings with 16 games left in the season. The Drillers and RoughRiders will continue their series Sunday at 6:05 p.m.
