Kevin Durant scored a game-high 25 points, grabbed ten rebounds and blocked two shots in the final seconds as Team USA defeated Spain 86-85 in an exhibition game Sunday in Madrid.
The Americans raced out to an early 16-3 lead before Spain rallied to take an 82-80 advantage in the game's final minutes.
Derek Rose gave the U.S. the lead with a pair of free throws with 16.9 seconds remaining. The rest was up to Durant, who blocked a 3-point attempt by Ricky Rubio and another long-range jumper by Rudy Fernandez at the buzzer.
USA Basketball is 3-and-0 in exhibition play and will play Greece Wednesday in Athens. The game can be seen on ESPN at 11 a.m. Oklahoma time.
