The first weekly soccer honors by the Summit League have been announced and both are from Oral Roberts.
Senior midfielder Lorena Soto earned the offensive player of the week honor after scoring a goal and assisting on another against Arkansas-Little Rock in a 2-1 ORU victory Friday and scoring the game-winner in a 3-1 win over Northwestern State (LA) on Sunday.
Goalkeeper Amanda Wheeler is the defensive player of the week after recording her eighth career shutout in Friday's win over the Trojans. She also allowed just one goal in Sunday's victory.
Oral Roberts has its first 2-and-0 start in seven seasons and will face off against crosstown rival Tulsa Sunday at 7:35 p.m. at Hurricane Soccer and Track Stadium.
