The Oral Roberts volleyball team defeated the host Texas-Pan American Broncs in straight sets Saturday as the UTPA Fall Invitational wrapped up in Edinburgh, Texas.
The Golden Eagles survived a close first set 27-25, then won 25-20 and 25-16 to close out the match.
Laura Rosa led ORU with 13 kills and Jocelyn Swier added 11. Anna Rossi led the team with 40 assists and also added nine digs. Cassidy Holmes had 24 digs to pace the Golden Eagles, who improved to 2-and-1.
UTPA's Marci Logan had 16 kills to lead the Broncs (1-2).
ORU returns to Tulsa to play its home opener Tuesday night against Arkansas.
