
Oral Roberts guard Kevi Luper has been named a Sporting News Preseason All-American.
The sophomore from Adair was named to the Third Team by the publication. Luper averaged 24.4 points and 4.5 steals per game for the Golden Eagles last season and was named the Summit League's Player of the Year, Newcomer of the Year and Defensive Player of the Year.
Luper led the nation in steals per game and her scoring average was sixth best in the country. She broke 14 team and Summit League single-season records and tied or set six single-game records.
Among the records were her 44 points scored against La Salle in just her third collegiate game and the 12 steals she made against Southern Utah on December fifth.
Oral Roberts finished the season 23-and-10 and made the Women's NIT field. The Golden Eagles will begin the 2010-11 campaign November 12th at home against UT-Arlington.
