Thunder Notch Fifth Straight Win

Oklahoma City -

Jeff Green scored 24 points, but none bigger than a 3-pointer with just under a minute left that gave Oklahoma City the lead for good in a 117-107 victory over the visiting Minnesota Timberwolves Monday night at the Ford Center.

Green's trey came after a Minnesota run that had given the T-Wolves a one-point lead. Joining him in double figures was Kevin Durant, who led all scorers with 28 points in his return to the lineup after missing two games with an ankle sprain.

Also in double digits for the Thunder was Russell Westbrook with 20, Thabo Sefolosha with 13 and Serge Ibaka and Nenad Krstic each with ten.

Kevin Love led the T-Wolves (4-11) with 24 points and 17 rebounds.

Oklahoma City had entered the fourth quarter with a nine-point cushion, but watched as Minnesota went on a 20-5 run to start the fourth and take as large as a six point lead on Darko Milicic's three-point play with 6:41 remaining.

The Thunder responded with five straight to get back in it, then took the lead on Sefolosha's jumper with 3:13 remaining. Minnesota's last lead came with 1:20 when Love scored off an offensive rebound.

The Thunder sealed the deal with a perfect 10-of-10 effort from the free throw line over the final 43 seconds.

With the win, Oklahoma City improved to 10-and-4. They'll get Tuesday off before hosting the Dallas Mavericks Wednesday night at 7 p.m.
