Oklahoma City -
A more than five minute drought in the fourth quarter turned a six-point Thunder deficit into an eight-point lead as Oklahoma City defeated the New Orleans Hornets 95-89 Monday night at the Ford Center.
New Orleans had an 81-75 lead after a three-pointer by Chris Paul with 5:58 remaining. But, the Hornets didn't score again until Paul hit three free throws with 34 seconds remaining.
By that time, Oklahoma City (12-6) led 89-81 and the game was pretty much over.
During the drought, New Orleans went 0-for-8 from the field, 0-for-2 from the free throw line and had three of their shots blocked -- two by Kevin Durant.
Durant finished the evening with 26 points, 11 rebounds and those two blocked shots. Russell Westbrook added 25 points to go with eleven assists.
Also in double figures for Oklahoma City was Jeff Green and Thabo Sefolosha, each with 13.
