Waiting Child Lalita & Jaquea

Posted: Updated:

NewsChannel 8's Carole Lambert took our waiting children, Lalita and Jaquea to Box Portrait Gallery in Sapulpa, where Gary and Pamela Box gave these sisters a lasting way to remember this Christmas.  They so enjoyed their professional photo session and were excellent models.  They are very pretty and followed their instructions to a tea.

Jaquea is 14, in the 8th grade... and absolutely loves school.

"Like when I'm bored, I'll start to read, or if I want to do something, I'll do math or draw.  I like to draw a lot.  I can draw really good."

Lalita is 12 and is in the 7th grade.  She has a beautiful smile... loves to sing in the choir at school.. and loves to dance.

"I want to be a dancer.  Really?  How come?  Because I can dance.  What kind of dancing?  Rap dancing like break dancing."

Both girls have a lot of talent and a kind spirit.  They enjoy going to church and like to hang out with their friends.  And, these sisters are extremely close.

"I love her a lot."

It's very important that they be adopted together. DHS is hoping to find a single or two parent home, where Lalita and Jaquea can enjoy the love, support and guidance to help them reach their full potential.  They're wonderful kids who need a new beginning so that next year, they will be "home for Christmas."

Please call DHS Child Welfare to find out more about Lalita and Jaquea.  The number is 581-2033.
